Three Chopt Road

This whole house renovation was done to make the home more liveable for an active family of four with two dogs, while preserving certain features within the home. While designing the home, texture was a key element that was highlighted in numerous areas. The kitchen alone includes a textured range hood, perforated metal cabinet fronts, concrete countertops on the island, and hand hewn exposed ceiling beams. The house also features old heart pine floor that carries texture throughout the home. This attention to detail is continued in the outdoor living spaces in order to create a seamless and comfortable connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces. The back porch includes ceiling heaters to make it functional during all seasons, as well as a personalized tunnel that goes under the terrace allowing the family dogs to enter and exit the basement of the home as they pease. No detail was overlooked during the design and renovation of this home, allowing it to be lived in while aging and wearing in style.
