Chairman Road

The goal of this project was not only to update and unify the home itself, but also to connect it to the area it is situated in. The home was built in 1995 and features views of the James River. In order to achieve a connection between indoors and outdoors, new windows and doors were installed to make the home feel lighter and airier. They also provide a line of sight to deepen the established relationship between the spaces. The extensive renovation was completed in two phases, allowing the clients to live comfortably in their own home while a separate area was under construction. Seamless collaboration between the designers, architects, and homeowners allowed for the design and fabrication of a number of personal features for the homeowners within their home. This effort and attention to detail resulted in a rich finished product tailored to the homeowners needs as well as their individual preferences.
